The 8th largest school district in the country hired Clearstream to drive awareness for an upcoming ballot initiative that was designed to invest in Tampa-area schools through a proposed ½ penny sales tax. Our intensive social media and public awareness campaign helped take this to victory at the polls on Nov 6, as Tampa residents voted to ‘Invest in Students.’ The ballot initiative proposed to Tampa-area residents involved a new sales tax that would fund air conditioning, classroom technology, safety and security measures that would ultimately generate $131 million for school improvements. Clearstream messaging focused on the fact that research shows investment in schools improves academic performance and raises property values. On the Facebook campaign alone, we delivered organic page impressions including 710,000 page views in less than one month – an 87% increase over the previous month. Clearly, the message resonated with voters as the ballot initiative passed with flying colors.
