What do vegan leather handbags, an emergency resources app for college students and America’s first mezcal cocktail in a can have in common? They are all winning startups generated by UCLA Anderson Venture Accelerator students! UCLA is the top startup school in the country and in honor of the school’s Centennial Anniversary, Clearstream gave media an inside look at the university’s newest and most successful startup program at the most recent showcase held at Google. The most recent showcase was held at Google’s campus in Venice where venture capitalists, angel investors and entrepreneurs alike came together to hear the start-up standouts. Clearstream organized the media relations, magnifying the talent coming out of this award-winning university program. The success is seen through the media coverage earned, investments made and continued growth in the Venture Accelerator. The program has seen significant impact with 30 Portfolio Companies, 2 acquisitions, $300K in Awards, $35M in funding raised and $2.5M in annual sales revenue.
